William Morroni has been producing, directing, and writing independent feature films since 1989. Besides THE SAFEHOUSE (www.thesafehousemovie.com), William made the 16mm Horror-comedy, LITTLE COREY GOREY (www.littlecoreygorey.com) in 1989, and he is currently making a comedy called ROLL CALL (www.rollcall-themovie) which he will finish early in 2010.
A 1974 graduate of NYU school of the Arts, William has made international award wining shorts and over the years has worked on countless low budget movies and videos for other Producers and Production Companies. He has production experience in every conceivable position, from color timer to director , including, editor, assistant cameraman, video tech, lighting, sound (both recording on set and mixing in the studio), he even managed film processing laboratories. This experience puts him the unique position of being able to attract inexperienced crews that will work for deferred paid and the chance to learn from someone with knows ultra low budget production inside and out.
A native of Long Island , New York, Mr. Morroni was a sergeant in the USAF from 1966 to 1970 and worked his way through NYU as a Manhattan cab driver. Since 1975 he has lived in Southern California and now resides on a small ranch in Sylmar, California. He retired in 2005 for health reason but survived his fight with colon cancer.
